The doors of Nundle’s new art gallery, Volcania Art Glass, were opened for the first time on Friday 21 to an impressive turnout. Visitors arrived from all over New South Wales in order to celebrate the gallery’s official launch.

Local oil painter Robbie Duck, who is currently exhibiting a number of her landscape oil paintings, seemed very happy with the success of the event. “I’ve had a lovely night! Absolutely lovely…” she exclaimed. “It’s just been done beautifully. Lots of people, lots of comments.”

Proprietors Mark and Linda Floyd, who specialise in creating artistic glassware, were pleased with the opening night attendance. “A lot of locals have shown their support.” commented Mark who was eager to make his thanks known to all involved in the gallery’s development.

Volcania Art Glass is located alongside the Nundle Cafe and opposite the caravan park. On display are a wide variety of paintings, sculptures, glassware, and jewellery all from local artists. Most artworks are available for purchase.

Trading hours are between 10am and 5pm on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, public holidays or by appointment. For more information regarding the gallery and its services contact Linda at or visit the website at
