New owners for ‘The Feddy’

The Federal Hotel is under new management with the restaurant now extending to trade seven days a week, all still with the service you know and trust. There is also an extension of their pizza menu with three new flavours to choose from their already great range. Doug and Kim Hinton are delighted to offer these new extended days to cater for all the busy people who want quality food in a nice, relaxed atmosphere. On the move from Dungog to Quirindi, Kim says, “It seemed like a nice country hotel in a nice country town. Quirindi is a good location for us as Doug has some cousins in the area yet we are still close enough to our family in Dungog.”
Doug and Kim took over The Federal from Jo and Errol on July, 1 and since then have been made welcome to the town says Kim, “The people of Quirindi have made us feel very welcome and we are enjoying being here.” Having been in and out of hospitality for years now, this is the first hotel Kim and Doug have owned but have made it their home and intend on continuing to make The Federal the place to be for the locals who already enjoy coming there.
Well known at ‘the Feddy’ for their monthly raffle, this month Quirindi Netball will be benefiting with a monthly donation coming their way soon. There will be four free meat raffles, social darts on a Sunday and happy hour on Thursday and Friday nights from 5.00pm to 7.00pm. The weekly specials have included lamb shanks and lasagne so look out for the new specials up each week so give The Federal a try for this week’s night out.
