Rates increase now 12.5%

Sally Alden Local Council has proposed a new rates increase of 12.5% across the Shire, down from last year’s proposed 19% increase. "After lengthy community debate and feedback Council voted not to proceed with the proposed 19% variation but to seek a smaller rise of 12.5%,” said Mayor Ian Lobsey.
